Elite Women are Taking the Field in The Season 2019

It’s the women’s era and we're here to cover it.

Last year, The Season 2018 followed four men's teams — DukeOhio StateNorth Carolina and Syracuse — on their journey from fall ball through the regular season and post-season — not to mention a championship run for the Blue Devils. The series took fans and players behind-the-scenes for an inside look at player triumphs, coach personalities, team rituals, tough losses, inspirational locker room speeches, comebacks, and the quest to build a legacy.

Now, The Season is back and this time around, the women are getting some serious screen time. The Season 2019 will follow the elite Florida Gators’ women’s team and Cornell’s legacy Big Red men’s team

“This kind of exposure is huge for women’s lacrosse,” says Head Coach Amanda O’Leary, the force behind the Gators’ competitive program and a former All-American midfielder. “This has never been done before, and for STX and Inside Lacrosse to invest in the women’s side of the sport speaks volumes. It’s an exciting time to be a part of the sport and continue to move things forward for female athletes everywhere.”

What can you expect to see in The Season 2019

An unfiltered look at what makes an elite DI program, team bonds, personal stories, and what it really means to be a Gator.

"Fans and players will see the inner workings of our team from top to bottom," O'Leary promises. "This is a really unique opportunity for people to see events that typically only our team would experience — the ups, the downs, and everything in between — and get a true feel for what Gator lacrosse is all about."

The first episode drops February 14, just in time for a Galentine's Day watch party with the squad.
