Play Huge, Pay it Forward, Grow the Game

Sergio Salcido was just a kid from Winter Park, Florida when he picked up a lacrosse stick for the first time in the second grade.

But eager to learn and turn up his game, the Syracuse walk-on struggled to find lacrosse role models in his hometown, where the sport was just starting to gain momentum. Now, the Atlanta Blaze midfielder is committed to making sure the next generation of lax kids has a strong example to follow.

Hear more about Salcido’s experience as a young player, his dreams for the sport and the importance of giving back:

Growing the game is important to Salcido – and it doesn’t have to be complicated – “Bring an extra stick with you and invite kids to play,” he says. “Put a stick in somebody’s hands who hasn’t experienced playing before and teach them about it, show them highlights, get them enthusiastic about it.”

What stick is Sergio using these days? Get the Salcido set-up with the Ultra Power head and Stallion SC-TI OCS shaft here.
