#TBT with Brandon Pirri

What did the road to the ice look like for Florida Panthers Center Brandon Pirri? We’re throwing it back to a young Brandon who picked up his first hockey stick at age five.

Brandon grew up in Toronto, where he won a championship at age seven, playing at the historic Maple Leaf Gardens. His first stick was a Christmas gift from his parents, which he received Christmas Day, but already knew what was coming after peeking through the gifts! Brandon has since upgraded to the Surgeon RX and continues to light the lamp for the Florida Panthers

A future second round pick in the 2009 draft, Brandon grew up playing for the Malvern Vipers Hockey Club. Brandon taught himself to play with mini sticks in the rink lobby of his brother’s Junior A hockey games.
